I tried to fix everything. It got worse.

What do you tell yourself on days when everything feels like it’s going wrong?

Last week was one of those days.

The kind where you sit there and think… is anything actually working?

I spent hours (literally from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) going back and forth with Amazon Seller Support. Trying to fix one issue… and somehow creating three new ones.

Right after my journals arrived at the fulfillment center and were being scanned, I was told the only way forward was to delete the listing.

That was a genuine "are you serious right now?" moment 🙂

Months of work. And that's where we landed.

So yes, I had a moment.

I could feel it in my body too. Tension in my shoulders. Shorter breath. That restless, frustrated energy sitting in my chest.

That’s usually the moment where pushing harder feels like the only option.

But I’ve learned… pushing is rarely what helps.

What actually helps are small mindset shifts that bring you back to center.

Here are the ones I come back to on days like this:

This is not a bad life. It’s a bad moment.

It’s easy to zoom out too far and make one situation mean everything is failing, but most of the time, it’s just one small part of your day going wrong, not your whole life.

This is temporary.

Even if it feels intense right now, remind yourself that you’ve had hard moments before and they passed, and this one will too.

What is this trying to teach me?

Instead of resisting the situation, get curious, because there is almost always a lesson, whether it’s patience, systems, boundaries, or simply slowing down.

I’ve handled hard things before.

Think back to moments where things felt just as messy or uncertain, and remember the strengths you used, because those are still available to you right now.

I’ll create space before I react.

When frustration builds, step away for a few minutes, go to the bathroom, wash your face, drink water, and let your nervous system settle before making your next move.

This is shaping the person I’m becoming.

The challenges you face today are not random. They’re often preparing you for the level you’re stepping into.

I’m on my own timeline.

It’s easy to feel behind when things don’t work instantly, but your path has its own pace, and rushing it usually creates more chaos, not clarity.

I just need to focus on the next small step.

You may feel overwhelmed by everything in front of you, but you don’t need to solve it all, just get clear on the next small step.

What I notice every time is this:

The situation doesn’t always change immediately. But my energy does.

And that changes how I respond, what decisions I make, and how quickly I get back on track.

Because these moments are not just mental. They are physical.

Your body carries the stress, the frustration, the pressure.

And learning how to shift that state is one of the most valuable skills you can build.

Your Tiny Experiment

The next time something goes wrong, pause and ask yourself:

“What do I want to believe about this moment instead?”

Pick one thought that grounds you. One sentence you can come back to.

And try it in real time.

Hit reply and let me know which one resonates. I read every single one.

With grounded energy,
